March was all about “Les Miserables” – the biggest production South Hampstead has ever put on, this year in conjunction with students from UCS and Portland Place School. Not only was a theatre built from scratch in the Waterlow Hall, including a west end style revolving stage with tilting barricade trucks, but the entire production was both performed and crewed by students – another first. Three huge sell out nights, standing ovations and bunches of flowers galore! The students were so impressive and made us all so proud. We really did ‘hear South Hampstead sing’, and are so looking forward to doing it all again next year with Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”.
